Join us in Houston for The Art of the Brush and the Reed, a special Arabic calligraphy exhibition, demonstration series, and cultural experience featuring world-renowned Master Calligrapher Haji Noor Deen at the Islamic Da’wah Center.
Taking place June 22 through July 6, this event invites visitors to experience the beauty, discipline, and spiritual depth of Islamic calligraphy. Guests will have the opportunity to view Haji Noor Deen’s artwork, learn about Islamic art and culture, and experience live calligraphy demonstrations throughout the event.

During exhibition hours, visitors may view Haji Noor Deen’s work and experience art demonstrations and personal requests.
Saturday Workshops and Demonstrations:

These sessions will offer a deeper look into the art of Arabic calligraphy, with opportunities to learn more about the tools, techniques, and traditions behind this beautiful Islamic art form.
Haji Noor Deen is internationally recognized for his mastery of Arabic calligraphy and his unique ability to blend Islamic artistic tradition with the visual language of Chinese calligraphy. Open Drop-In Calligraphy Experience:
Visitors will also have the opportunity to participate in a flexible drop-in calligraphy experience. Tables and chairs will be available for guests to stop by, try writing Arabic calligraphy, ask questions, and learn about the art form through direct interaction.
